Seems that Angelina Jolie has signed a $10million contract with Louis Vuitton. Marc Jacobs managed to persuade the actress to be part of the winter campaign that will be shot in these days by Annie Leibovitz and released this summer. She also collaborate with Robert Procop with a line of jewels with proceeds to the "Children of Conflict" create to the same actress.

Leighton Meester looks great in print ads. She surprised everyone with her playful Missoni ads, and she’s now the face of Vera Wang 's new fragrance, Lovestruck.
Shot by Carter Smith on a fire escape and wearing a purple Vera Wang gown with loose hair, Leighton looks fresh and gorgeous. She’s also channeling some Pretty Woman, though her prince is a bit rougher around the edges than Richard Gere. Lovestruck will be available in the UK in June, and will hit US stores in August. The bottle is a confection of brown flowers and tulle, as befits Wang’s romantic sensibility.

Leighton Meester è fantasica nella camapgne pubblicitarie. Ha sorpreso tutti nella versione giocosa di Missoni, e  adesso è  il volto del nuovo profumo di Vera Wang, Lovestruck. Girato da Carter Smith su una scala antincendio, la nostra protagonista  indossa un abito viola Vera Wang con i capelli sciolti, Leighton sembra fresca e splendida. L'immagine richiama all'allure del film Pretty Woman, anche se il suo principe è un pò casual a differenza di Richard Gere. Lovestruck sarà disponibile nel Regno Unito a giugno, e arriverà nei negozi americani nel mese ad agosto. Il flacone è una confezione di fiori e tulle marrone, come si addice alla sensibilità romantica di Wang.

OLIVIER ROUSTEING confirmed as BALMAIN'S new designer

Olivier Rousteing has been just confirmed as Balmain's new designer. He will supervise the design and development of both men's and women's ready-to-wear collections, and will reportedly not give any interviews prior to the debut of his Spring 2012 collection later this year.
According to the press release, Rousteing had been in charge of Balmain's womenswear studio since 2009 and previously spent five years at Roberto Cavalli, where he was promoted to designer of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. He is French-born, was raised in Bordeaux, and completed his fashion studies at ESMOD in Paris in 2003.

Francese di nascita e cresciuto a Bordeaux, Olivier Rousteing è stato recentemente confermato come nuovo stilista della maison francese Balmain. Supervisionerà la parte di ricerca e quella creativa di entrambe le linee uomo e donna. Si dice che non rilascerà alcuna intervista in merito fino alla presentazione della collezione P/E 2012.
Secondo un comunicato stampa Rousteing ambisce a questo ruolo dal 2009 e precedentemente lavorò 5 anni per Roberto Cavalli.

Last night, Karl Lagerfeld hit New York to debut a series of commercials he directed to promote the European ice cream brand Magnum in the United States. The three minute-long spots feature Rachel Bilson, portraying a fashion model, an art student, and a ballet dancer, as well as Baptiste Giabiconi, but Lagerfeld himself makes no appearances.

La notte scorsa, Karl Lagerfeld ha stupito New York durante la presentazione di una serie di spot che ha diretto per promuovere il marchio europeo di gelati Magnum negli Stati Uniti. Gli spot della durata di tre minuti ciascuno vedono Rachel Bilson interpretare una modella, una studentessa d'arte e una ballerina, come pure Baptiste Giabiconi, ma Lagerfeld stesso non fa nessun apparizione.

As for the rumor circulating that he is working on a fragrance called "Paper Passion," intending it to smell like books, Lagerfeld said it's not happening. And his next film to debut is a 30-minute movie, "The Tale of a Fairy," starring Freja Beha Erichsen, Anna Mouglalis, Amanda Harlech, and Kristen McMenamy, and to be shown during the Chanel Cruise 2012 presentation in Cap d'Antibes.
