OLIVIER ROUSTEING confirmed as BALMAIN'S new designer

Olivier Rousteing has been just confirmed as Balmain's new designer. He will supervise the design and development of both men's and women's ready-to-wear collections, and will reportedly not give any interviews prior to the debut of his Spring 2012 collection later this year.
According to the press release, Rousteing had been in charge of Balmain's womenswear studio since 2009 and previously spent five years at Roberto Cavalli, where he was promoted to designer of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. He is French-born, was raised in Bordeaux, and completed his fashion studies at ESMOD in Paris in 2003.

Francese di nascita e cresciuto a Bordeaux, Olivier Rousteing è stato recentemente confermato come nuovo stilista della maison francese Balmain. Supervisionerà la parte di ricerca e quella creativa di entrambe le linee uomo e donna. Si dice che non rilascerà alcuna intervista in merito fino alla presentazione della collezione P/E 2012.
Secondo un comunicato stampa Rousteing ambisce a questo ruolo dal 2009 e precedentemente lavorò 5 anni per Roberto Cavalli.

Forse per tutti i fan della nuova principessina Kate Middleton sarà una notizia un pò scomada,ma l'abito da sposa creato dalla designer Sarah Burton artdirector di Alexander McQueen è una bella copia di uno degli abiti da sposa che ha fatto sognare tutti noi già in passato ovvero quello di Grace Kelly......Scelta rassicurante ma priva di carattere.......una scollatura non cambia l'immagine di un abito!
